No you will not need to fill anything out until you come in for your first visit.

We have individual waiting rooms for all patients. Patients are put into their own room to wait. Each room has a couch, books and toys and resembles a comfortable living room. Each with its own theme.

Our staff includes:

  • Dr. Molly O’Shea
  • Dr. Yusra Abidi
  • Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Lori Carlson
  • Lactation Specialist Stephanie Bauer, RN, IBCLC
We have privileges at both William Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak and Troy. We do use hospitalists at both locations We also have Affiliations with Childrens Hospital of Michigan.

We partner with the team of hospital specialist pediatricians at Beaumont Childrens Hospital and Childrens Hospital of Michigan to see your newborn or child when needed in the hospital. Having the specialists manage the newborns and children in the hospital results in better coordinated care while there and with the good communication we have with the team when you come to the office after discharge we will pick up the ball and run with it.

We do accept families choosing an alternate vaccine schedule if they are willing to follow the tenets of the Patient Agreement. We strongly encourage vaccination and require parents opting to vaccinate off the recommended schedule sign a ‘Refusal to Vaccinate’ form each time vaccines are offered acknowledging their choice and giving a reason for their decision to opt out. If you are vaccinating on an alternate schedule we encourage you to set up a 30 minute Vaccine Consultation appointment as your first visit with the provider so you can discuss the schedule you plan to follow, learn the process our office uses to schedule the ‘vaccine only’ visits, and have all of your questions and concerns about vaccines answered. New patients to the practice as of March 2, 2015 will need to initiate vaccination of their infants by 6 months of age and older infants and children behind on vaccines within a month of joining the practice as part of our new vaccine policy. For more information about our vaccination views and policy, see our Vaccine page.

After much deliberation and discussion, as of March 2, 2015 we are no longer accepting new families who are refusing all vaccines. We feel strongly that vaccination is the best way to protect infants, children, and the community from a variety of serious and sometimes life threatening illness and as such we cannot in good conscience support the notion that refusing them is in your child’s best interest. We want parents though who have questions about vaccine safety to have their concerns addressed and we have at our core mission a goal to partner with parents through dialogue. We encourage families who want more information and are open to vaccines to schedule a 30 minute Vaccine Consultation appointment where you can discuss your concerns and we can give you evidence-based information to help guide you. New families in the practice will need to initiate vaccination of infants by 6 months of age and older children behind on vaccines within a month of joining the practice. For more details about our Vaccine Policy see our Vaccine Page. Like all families in the practice, parents will need to sign the Patient Agreement, and if opting for an alternate schedule the Refusal to Vaccinate form each time vaccines are offered but not given.

A hospitalist is a physician that works for the hospital instead of private practice. The hospitalists that cover our patients in the hospital are all pediatricians.
Typically in most cases families choose to see any of the providers. However, some families may desire the continuity of seeing one provider for a majority of their visits. If given enough notice, we will do our best to accommodate this request.
